About me

I'm 29 years old and originally from The Hague. After living in Amsterdam for a few years I've moved to Rotterdam in 2024. I'm working at TicketSwap as iOS developer. I graduated as Interaction Designer at The Hague University in 2020, but I already started my professional career as front-end developer in 2016 at Sqits, during my studies. I've always seen my education as a way to gain additional skills that can help me to become a better software developer.

In 2020 I started working as front-end developer at TicketSwap. Projects I did includes several integrations with third-party services like Google and Spotify, but also building new product features and maintaining the front-end codebases. During this time I've also led multiple bigger (technical) projects, such as our migration to TypeScript and building a brand new online magazine.

At the beginning of 2024 I had a short period at MyWheels, where I was able to combine front-end development with mobile development using React Native and Expo. Although my stay was short I had a big impact on the testing strategy, and implemented new features such as Intercom. Over the years I've gained experience in a lot of modern front-end technologies like React, Next.js, Vue, TypeScript, GraphQL, Contentful, Node.js and more.

Over the years I also got a lot of passion for mobile development. That's why I decided in the summer of 2024 that I wanted to focus on something completely different and pursue a career as iOS developer. I'm really happy that I'm able to do that at TicketSwap, a company that I really like, working on a product that really resonates with me.
